AIDAN Gillen has landed a role in an upcoming movie about legendary rockers Queen.
The Game of Thrones star, 49, will play the part of the band's manager John Reid in biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.
Queen confirmed Gillen's casting on its Twitter account along with The Night Manager star Tom Hollander, who will play the group's other manager Jim Beach.
The lead role of Freddie Mercury will be played by Mr Robot actor Remi Malek. Co Armagh actor Aaron McCusker is also lined up to star in the film with the Shameless star being cast in the role of Mercury's partner Jim Hutton.
The part in Bohemian Rhapsody is just one of a number of high-profile roles that have been confirmed for Gillen since his character Littlefinger was killed off Game Of Thrones.
He was recently announced as the lead actor for a biopic commissioned by the BBC and RTE about legendary comedian Dave Allen.
Tommy Tiernan will play the star's father, with Pauline McLynn also starring in the show.
She said Gillen is the perfect actor for the role.
The Father Ted star added: "For me there isn't anyone else who could play him."
