GILBERT ASSOCIATES ACQUIRES SRA TECHNOLOGIES, INC.

 READING, Pa., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Gilbert Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: GILBA) today announced it has acquired SRA Technologies, Inc., Alexandria, Va.
 SRA, a privately held company with more than 200 employees, provides research and consulting services in life and environmental sciences, engineering and related technical areas. Terms were not disclosed.
 Gilbert Associates Chairman and CEO Alexander F. Smith said SRA "fits very well with Gilbert's technical focus and emphasis on high- quality professional services." The acquisition, he said, is in keeping with Gilbert's continuing program to broaden its business and market base.
 SRA's life sciences operations provide clinical and biomedical research as well as environmental health risk assessment to governmental agencies and industry. Its engineering and technical operations include multi-disciplinary research and consultation services for management and assessment of nuclear, chemical and environmental programs.
 Gilbert subsidiary companies provide technical consulting services and communications systems to utility, government, manufacturing and process clients throughout the world. Operating subsidiaries include Gilbert/Commonwealth, Inc., Reading; GAI-Tronics Corp., Reading; United Energy Services Corp., Atlanta; and Resource Consultants, Inc., Vienna, Va.
