HANDY TIPS TO GET YOU STARTED
l Make sure the surface area is dust-free.
l Use a PVA adhesive and water mix to help the plaster bond to the walls.
l Add the plaster to the water, mixing until the consistency is like melted ice cream. Experts recommend a paddle mixer.
l Plaster can set quickly, so only mix an amount you can use immediately.
l Don't add new plaster to an older mix and don't add water to the plaster to try to make it more workable.
l It's a weekend job so don't rush it. Visit www.channel4.com/4homes/how-to/diy/how-to-plaster-a-wall for more info.
