 GERIATRIC & MEDICAL CENTERS ANNOUNCES CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT
 PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Daniel Veloric, chairman and president of Geriatric & Medical Centers, Inc. (NASDAQ: GEMC) reported today that a class action lawsuit has been commenced against the company, GMS Management, Inc., the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Daniel Veloric and Gary Veloric by a shareholder of the company.
 The complaint alleges that, among other things, various reports and press releases issued by the company misrepresented and omitted to state adverse facts concerning two nursing homes that are managed by GMS Management, Inc.
 Veloric said that he did not believe that there was any basis for the allegations contained in the complaint, and that the action would be vigorously defended.
 Geriatric & Medical Centers, Inc.'s Home Care Services and Long-Term Care Management and Development Group is a leading provider of health care products and services to hospitals, HMO's, physician groups and long-term care facilities.
