GEORGIA ALERT MONITORS PULSE '93 GEORGIA GENERAL ASSEMBLY

ATLANTA, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Georgia Alert(TM), the only independent, nonpartisan legislative monitoring service covering Georgia state government, will begin its fifth year providing access to Georgia General Assembly on Monday, Jan. 11, 1993. The service provides on-line access to the detailed actions of the 1993 Georgia General Assembly. Georgia Alert's databases and news reports organize various information sources into accessible, timely formats that permit subscribers statewide to monitor the daily activities of the General Assembly from the convenience of their home or office. The service reports all committee meetings, agendas and decisions at least twice daily, while providing a comprehensive bill monitoring database. For the 1993 session, Georgia Alert will offer individual bill voting records compiled by individual legislator. Additionally, it will debut a daily fax alert service for subscribers who don't want to subscribe to its on- line database.
Launched in January 1989, Georgia Alert became the state's first and only exclusively electronic monitoring service in January 1991. Subscribers pay a flat monthly fee of $45 for access to all the databases and news monitors in the service. It is distributed by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Access Atlanta, a subscription-based information service. Access Atlanta can be accessed over the telephone by using a personal computer, a modem, and a communications software program. To sign up for Access Atlanta, call 404-222-8000.
Georgia Alert is produced by Aaron/Smith Associates, Inc., the Southeast's largest and oldest research and information services firm. For further information, call Georgia Alert at 404-330-2117.
