GEORGE STALK JR. IS ELECTED A SENIORVICE PRESIDENT OF THE BOSTON CONSULTING GROUP

 BOSTON, Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. today announced that George Stalk Jr., has been elected a senior vice president.
 Stalk's professional practice focuses on international and time- based competition. He is the co-author of the critically acclaimed book on time-based competition, Competing Against Time, and of Kaisha: The Japanese Corporation. Articles by Stalk have been published by numerous business publications, including Harvard Business Review. He also speaks regularly before business and industry associations on time-based competition and other topics. Stalk was recently identified by Business Week as one of the country's leading management gurus.
 Stalk, who has worked in BCG's Chicago office and spent several years in the firm's Tokyo office, has consulted to a variety of leading manufacturing and technology-oriented companies since joining the firm in 1978. He held previous positions with Applicon, Inc. and Exxon Research and Engineering.
 Stalk holds a B.S. in engineering mechanics from the University of Michigan, an M.S. in aeronautics and astronautics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
