GEONEX WINS FAVORABLE RULING

 ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Geonex Corporation (NASDAQ: GEOX) announced today that the company has received a favorable ruling in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
 In an order dated Aug. 9, 1993, U.S. District Judge Marvin J. Garbis granted a motion to dismiss a class action complaint filed against Geonex Corporation by a shareholder of the company.
 Judge Garbis stated in his order that the plaintiff may make a motion to be allowed to file an amended complaint. However, the plaintiff does not now have the right to file such amended complaint.
 Geonex, based in St. Petersburg, Fla., is the world's largest commercial supplier of digital maps and maps utilizing advanced photo and image interpretation. Digital mapping data bases created by Geonex allow telephone, electric, gas and water utilities to combine detailed engineering records with geographic information to facilitate the design, construction, management and maintenance of their physical assets. Geonex also offers laboratory analysis of air and water quality, and hazardous site surveying.
