GEONEX NAMED TO INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS LIST

 ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Geonex Corporation (NASDAQ: GEOX) has been named to International Business magazine's list of the "100 Fastest-Growing International Companies."
 To qualify for the prestigious list, companies must be publicly traded with headquarters based in the U.S. Revenues for 1991 must range from $15 million to $500 million with 20 percent or more of sales derived from international sources. International revenues were $20,785,000, or 30.7 percent of total sales in fiscal '91, compared to $5,503,000 or 12.5 percent in fiscal '90.
 According to the magazine's feature article, more than 75 percent of the companies listed are in advanced technology. Industries represented include software, biotechnology, medical devices and high-performance computing.
 Geonex, based in St. Petersburg, Fla., is the world's largest commercial supplier of digital maps and maps utilizing advanced photo and image interpretation. Digital mapping data bases created by Geonex allow telephone, electric, gas and water utilities to combine detailed engineering records with geographic information to facilitate the design, construction, management and maintenance of their physical assets. Geonex also offers laboratory analysis of air and water quality, and hazardous site surveying.
