 GENESIS SAFETY SYSTEMS SUBSIDIARY SECURES RIGHTS
 WAYNE, N.J., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Genesis Safety Systems, Inc.


announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary Biowaste Technologies Systems, Inc. has secured exclusive rights throughout the world (excluding the Middle East) to the medical waste applications of a new biocide. The company has incorporated the new biocide into plastic film bags ("Red Bags") used to collect, store, transport and discard medical waste. The new product killed, on contact, all 50 different infection causing fungi, yeast and bacteria upon which it was tested. These included hospital born (nosocomial) microorganisms which infect patients.
 The new biocide has been approved by the EPA, has a long shelf life and will retain its activity for years.
 Biowaste Technologies Systems, Inc. plans to use this biocide as the basis for an entire family of products used in the collection and transportation of medical waste and to market these products to hospitals, doctors, dentists and other generators of medical waste.
