GENERAL MOTORS PRESIDENT AND CEO JOHN F. SMITH JR. ISSUES STATEMENT
 ON THE CLINTON VICTORY
 WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- John F. Smith Jr., president and CEO of General Motors (NYSE: GM), issued the following statement:
 We congratulate President-elect Clinton and pledge our full cooperation in working toward a growing economy and a brighter future for all Americans.
