 GEM INTERNATIONAL NETWORK INTRODUCES REVOLUTIONARY
 NEW GLOBAL GEM MARKET SYSTEM
NEW YORK, Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Citing the need to standardize, automate and provide credibility to the gem industry, Gem International Network, Inc. (GINI) today announced a new computerized networking system that will dramatically change and automize the way in which gems are bought and sold worldwide. For the first time in history, buyers and sellers of precious gems can view various aspects of a gem anywhere in the world as though the gem were in their inventory.
The news announcement was made here today at the Waldorf-Astoria during a symposium where more than 150 of the nation's leading diamond merchants were gathered to see the unveiling of this revolutionary new system.
"In adherence with GIA (Gemological Institute of America) standards, our objective is to provide clients and subscribers with credible information and microscopic resolution images of gems currently available on the international market," said Suranjith Gunasekara G.G., president of GINI. "This provides merchants with many benefits that make their businesses more efficient, including practical inventory control, enhanced communications abilities between merchants and increased inventory availability."
The concern in today's gem market is the lack of inventory and efficient safe transactions at the wholesale and retail levels. A standardized system of displaying large inventories safely and efficiently is necessary to maximize revenues for the seller while providing value to the buyer.
The new system provides credible microscopic resolution images of gems currently available on the international market, including the gem's characteristics of carat size, color, cut, clarity, species, price, etc.
Gem International Network has combined the most advanced technologies in extreme resolution computer graphics and imaging with an IBM 286/386/486 or compatible operating system.
Based in Boulder, Colo., Gem International Network, Inc., is committed to global communications.
