 GE CAPITAL FLEET SERVICES APPOINTS ZAFIROVSKI
 TO HEAD EUROPEAN BUSINESS UNIT
 STAMFORD, Conn., Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Teresa LeGrand, president of GE Capital Fleet Services, announced the appointment of Mike Zafirovski as president and chief executive officer of Avis Lease Europe, which has lease and fleet management operations in 14 countries. Avis Lease, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, recently was acquired by GE Capital Fleet Services.
 Zafirovski previously was the senior vice president of finance and business development for GE Capital Fleet Services, the largest corporate fleet management company in the world, with more than 620,000 cars, trucks and specialty vehicles under lease and service management.
 In his new position, Zafirovski will have overall responsibility for the Avis Lease business and will serve as a member of its executive committee, reporting to LeGrand. Zafirovski has 17 years of general management, business development and finance experience at GE, including four years as the president of the former GE Capital Auto Auction business.
 In other appointments, LeGrand named Gilbert van Marcke to the position of deputy chairman of Avis Lease, with emphasis on strategic planning, business growth and special assignments, reporting to LeGrand.
 Rolf Ruegg will continue as vice president and general manager of Avis Lease, reporting to Zafirowski, with responsibility for managing Avis Lease business in each respective country. Countries served by Avis Lease include the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany, Luxembourg, Portugal, Switzerland and, through licensing agreements, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Ireland and Greece.
