GCC, UK Hold 5th Ministerial Meeting for Strategic Dialogue.

Muscat, May 29 (ONA) --- The 5 th ministerial meeting for strategic dialogue was held between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the United Kingdom (UK) at Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) today.

Yousef bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs took part in the meeting along with the GCC Foreign Ministers and the GCC Secretary General.

The meeting was chaired from the GCC side by Adel bin Ahmed al-Jubair, Minister of Foreign Affairs of KSA, Head of current session of the GCC Ministerial Council whilst it was headed from the UK side by Philip Hammond, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.

The meeting discussed relations between the GCC and UK and means of promoting them in various fields. The ministers exchanged viewpoints on regional and international issues of common concern, such as Yemen, Syria, Iran, Libya, Iraq and Palestine, in addition to combatting terrorism.
