GC Peshawar lifted Athletic trophy as Paras declared best athlete.

PESHAWAR -- Govt College Peshawar lifted overall athletic trophy while Paras Ahmad Khan declared the best athletes of the Year-2015 here in the Inter-College Games held under the aegis of the Directorate of Sports University of Peshawar on Friday.

Government College grabbed five gold medals, four silver and four bronze

medals by securing 83 points, PG Department University of Peshawar remained at second and Govt Degree College Matra got third position respectively.

Hailing from GCP Paras Ahmad Khan, a promising athlete, who also won a

old and silver in the recently concluded Punjab Games at Lahore, took two gold medals in High Jump and Javelin throw and two silver medals in 110m hurdles and triple jump while bronze medals discuss throw besides part with team of winning gold medal in 4X100 relay and was declared as best athlete of the Year-2015. Another promising athlete Zuhaib Khan won two gold medals in Discuss Throw and Shot Put while Junaid Khan got gold medal in triple jump.

Arbab Khalid Khan of the GC Hayatabad Peshawar was also declared the

fastest athlete by winning the 100m, followed by Jawad Ali of PG Department University of Peshawar while Ahmad Naeem and Mohammad Zaman of GCP and GC Jamrud took joint third position.

In the 200m Ahmad Naeem of GCP, Junaid of JCP and Jawad Ali of PG got

old medal, silver and bronze medals. In the 400m Waqar of DC Badhaber, Ahmad Naeem and Junaid of GCP got silver and bronze medals respectively.

The overall Games trophy won by PG Peshawar, Govt College Matra took

runners-up trophy and Edwards College took third position. In the Badminton PG got first position, followed by GCP and GC Mathra, in Basketball PG got first position, followed by GC Landi Kotal Khyber Agency, in Cricket GCP got first position, followed by PG and GC Mathra, the Football title won by GC Landikotal, followed by PG and Edwards College, in Hanball PG won first position, followed by GCP and Govt College Mathra, in Hockey PG got first position, followed by GCP and Edwards College, in Kabaddi PG won gold, followed by GCP and FG College Nowshera Cantt, PG won squash, followed by GCP and Edwards College, GCP won gold medal, followed by PG and Edwards College in Table Tennis, in Tennis GCP won first position, followed by PG and Edwards, in Tug-of-War PG, GC Mathra, GCC and MS, Jamrud, Khyber Agency, in Volleyball PG won first, Mathra got second and GCP won third position.

Director Admission Prof. Dr. Hiz Ullah was the chief guest on this occasion. Director Sports Bahre Karam, Principal GCP Prof. Dr. Fazali Subhani, President Sports Committee Prof. Ghani Ur Rehman, Principal GC Landi Kotal were also present.
