GBGB investigate Swindon 'vet'.

BARRY FAULKNER (left), the Greyhound Board's chief executive, yesterday said that at investigatation is ongoing into the case of a man that allegedly worked as a bogus veterinary surgeon at Swindon stadium, writes Jim Cremin.

He said: "We'll also be giving every assistance we can to both the police and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons."

Faulkner added: "Because there has been an arrest, this case is sub-judice, so we cannot make any further comment."

The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons states that a man, Peter Keniry, allegedly used the name of a properly qualified and legitimately registered veterinary surgeon Shaun Kehoe.

A man has appeared in Swindon Magistrates' Court on charges of fraud and practising veterinary surgery unlawfully, and was released on bail.

Gobata, the Greyhound Owners, Breeders and Trainers Association, called for the GBGB to hold an in-depth inquiry "into this matter at Swindon," ... and "once that inquiry has been completed they should advise all in this sport precisely what stringent requirements will need to be complied with from here on in."
