GASOLINE PRICES STABLE FOR THANKSGIVING TRAVEL, AAA REPORTS

 ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 24 ~PRNewswire~ -- Motorists traveling this Thanksgiving holiday will find average gas prices down for the third straight week, the American Automobile Association reports.
 AAA's Fuel Gauge Report shows the average for self-serve regular unleaded fell .3 cent to $1.154 per gallon. The average price is up 1 cent from a year ago.
 Retail prices this year peaked the week of June 30 at $1.187 and have been up to 3 cents per gallon lower ever since.
 The Fuel Gauge Report -- based on a nationwide spot check of gasoline stations -- is conducted for AAA by Computer Petroleum Corp. of St. Paul, Minn.
 Approximately 81 percent of stations will be open on Thanksgiving and 32 percent will be open 24 hours.
 The average price for self-serve mid-grade was up this week by .1 cent to $1.253 per gallon. Premium unleaded was unchanged at $1.337 per gallon.
 Regionally, the average price for regular unleaded was down in the Great Lakes, Midwest, Southeast and Southwest, and up elsewhere in the nation.
 In addition to surveying for the AAA Fuel Gauge Report, Computer Petroleum Corp. publishes the National Petroleum Price Index, which monitors more than 90,000 daily wholesale and retail gasoline prices throughout the United States and Canada.
 AAA is a not-for-profit federation of 145 motor clubs with more than 1,000 offices providing its more than 33.6 million members in the U.S. and Canada with travel, insurance, financial and auto-related services.
