 GAS PRICE IS LOWER FOR SIXTH CONSECUTIVE WEEK, AAA REPORTS
 ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- The nationwide average


price of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline declined for sixth consecutive week -- down 4.3 cents per gallon since Nov. 19, the American Automobile Association reports.
 AAA's Fuel Gauge Report shows the nationwide average price of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline is $1.10 per gallon this week -- down .8 cent per gallon since Christmas Eve.
 AAA's Fuel Gauge Report -- based on a nationwide spot check of gasoline stations -- was conducted for AAA by Computer Petroleum Corp. of St. Paul, Minn.
 Average pump prices are higher in the Southeast, unchanged in the Mid-Atlantic and lower in other regions, AAA said.
 The nationwide average price of self-serve regular leaded gasoline fell 4 cents this week to $1.07 per gallon. The self-serve mid-grade unleaded average is unchanged at $1.203 per gallon, and the self-serve premium average fell .5 cent to $1.284.
 In addition to surveying for the AAA Fuel Gauge Report, Computer Petroleum Corp. publishes the National Petroleum Price Index, which monitors more than 50,000 daily wholesale and retail gasoline prices throughout the United States and Canada.
 AAA is a not-for-profit federation of 147 motor clubs with more than 1,000 offices providing its nearly 33 million members in the U.S. and Canada with travel, insurance, financial and auto-related services.
