GARMENT GRAPHICS SECURES LICENSE FOR "PEANUTS" CHARACTERS

 MINNEAPOLIS, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Garment Graphics, Inc., a designer, manufacturer, and marketer of decorated sportswear, announced today that it has secured a license to reproduce the "Peanuts" family of characters on a new line of decorated sportswear to be marketed nationally.
 According to R. Neil Hamlin, Garment Graphics' Chairman and CEO, the "Peanuts" properties, including the enormously popular "Snoopy" character, have significant value. Worldwide commercial revenue from "Peanuts" property is in excess of $500 million annually.
 Bob Lucas, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said, "This license agreement provides further opportunities for Garment Graphics since it is compatible with other programs our company is involved in. We anticipate, for example, incorporating the 'Peanuts' characters into a National Football League (NFL) license in the near future."
 Garment Graphics' acquisition of the "Peanuts" property follows the company's March 1993 announcement of a similar license for the "Looney Tunes" characters. The "Looney Tunes" license specifically targets the girls, juniors, and women's retail markets throughout the United States. The securing of license agreements is focusing the company's marketing efforts toward what it considers the emerging growth sectors of the decorated sportswear industry. In the past, the company has primarily serviced more mature segments of the industry, including the collegiate market.
