GARETH BALE was Gareth Barry's choice for the PFA's Player of the Year award - but he hopes the Tottenham star is still sidelined with injury today. Barry reckons Spurs are a different force when Bale is in the side. He said: "I voted for Bale because he's had such a good season. Playing a Spurs team without gareth Bale does enhance your chances of winning because he is such a great player. But I wouldn't mind if he missed this one! The form and confidence he has shown this season has been impressive, but whether he is in or out we are still expecting a tough game. It's a huge game for Spurs because they are going for that third or fourth position."
