GAMESHOW CHANCE FOR NURSE KATIE.

A NURSE was hoping to scoop a pounds 10,000 prize after flying to Argentina to compete in a TV gameshow.

Katie Kendrick, of Ellesmere Port, was one of eight hopefuls in tonight's episode of the BBC series 101 Ways To Leave A Gameshow.

The programme sees contestants eliminated in a variety of outrageous ways - by cannons, rockets, catapults, helicopters, runaway cars and bungees.

The 30-year-old, who works at Alder Hey children's hospital, said: "It was fantastic - we had such a laugh.

"I went on the TV show Golden Balls about two years ago and since then I have been a bit obsessed with game shows.

"I got to the final in Golden Balls, but the fact I did not win made no odds. I applied for all the game shows I could possibly think of."

Katie is on 101 Ways To Leave A Gameshow today at 7pm on BBC1.
