GALLAGHER ISSUES RESPONSE TO COURT RULING

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Gallagher today issued the following statement in response to U.S. District Judge Maurice Paul's ruling on Prudential Insurance Company's homeowners' insurance moratorium challenge:
"We are gratified that Judge Paul agreed with the state that Prudential's challenge doesn't warrant emergency relief. We will proceed with the Attorney General's Office to fully defend the constitutionality of the moratorium because it is so important to Florida homeowners. I continue to believe that the insurance industry would better serve its customers by focusing its energies and resources on solutions to Florida's homeowners' market disruption, rather than tearing down efforts to protect consumers."
