GALLAGHER BASSETT SERVICES TO USE PMSV'S
                  COMP AMERICA FIRST INJURY REPORTING
TAMPA, Fla., April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Pharmacy Management Services, Inc., (NASDAQ: PMSV), announced today its first national commitment for its new workers' compensation First Injury Reporting service through PMSV's CompAmerica subsidiary which has been in a pilot evaluation project with three of Gallagher's employer accounts having over 2,100 reporting locations nationally.
As a result of a successful pilot, Gallagher has committed to offer CompAmerica's national 800 Hotline First Injury Reporting service to all Gallagher accounts nationally effective April 6. Gallagher's accounts will notify CompAmerica of workers' injuries throughout the United States by means of a toll-free hotline. Upon such notification, CompAmerica will produce the State's required regulatory First Notice of Injury reports within 24 hours and provide early intervention notification which will significantly improve the medical management services provided to Gallagher's accounts while improving overall claims administration efficiency. This service will allow for early case management referrals and identify the opportunity to use a preferred health care provider to further increase a client's medical savings potential, while enhancing compliance with State reporting requirements.
Potential future annual sales revenues of this national account could be approximately $1.2 million in the first full fiscal year of service. The national volume for all employers reporting work injuries approximate 10 million or more new injured workers annually.
"We are extremely proud to be able to offer this service to the workers' compensation industry through our new subsidiary, CompAmerica Services, Inc., commented Cecil S. Harrell, chairman and CEO of PMSV. "This service is yet another step toward becoming the First Full-Service Provider of Medical Cost Containment to the workers' compensation industry."
CompAmerica Services, Inc. was formed as a national service center to provide software-based medical cost containment services, including First Notice of Injury reporting, medical bill auditing, hospital bill audit, pharmacy bill audit, PPO usage and repricing, and utilization review. By taking advantage of PMSV's in-place workers' compensation base of information and process telecommunications and its computer systems, payors and claimants in all 50 states can benefit.
PMSV is a leading independent national provider of medical cost containment services and products to workers' compensation payors and claimants and to the physical therapy clinics in the rehabilitation product and services marketplace and is the holding company for seven other subsidiaries, including Prescription Management Services, Inc.
