GAIL'S HAIR PEACE; STAR'S EMOTIONAL TV APPEARANCE Porter's tears as she debuts blonde wig.

Byline: LUCY MAPSTONE reporters@dailyrecord.co.uk

GAIL Porter broke down in tears yesterday as she revealed she's finally made peace with wearing a wig.

The Scot, 47, lost her hair to alopecia 13 years ago and has refused to wear wigs and hairpieces. But she unveiled a new, custom-made blonde wig on ITV's Loose Women yesterday and, through tears, admitted: "It feels really nice."

Gail - who insisted the wig won't be on full-time - was asked if she felt pressure to stay bald to inspire others. She said: "I enjoy feeling bald. I want people to be aware you have a choice. It's beginning to feel normal now."

The Edinburghborn TV host and former model has battled depression and was diagnosed as bipolar.
