GAELIC FOOTBALL: DONEGAL TO THE FOUR IN SHIELD; NFL DIVISION 3 SHIELD FINAL Donegal 4-14 Cavan 2-6.

A POWERFUL closing quarter was enough to secure Donegal the NFL Division 3 Shield at Brewster Park yesterday.

The north west county hit an impressive 3-4 to finally overcome a battling Cavan performance.

Cavan started well and had an early goal from full-forward Marcus McEntee - before the winners replied through Dara O'Brien as Donegal led by 1-6 1-5 at half-time.

Tiny Niall Campbell inspired Tir Conaill to an eventual second-half rout through goals from O'Brien, Eugen Organ and Danny Cullen
