GAA ace Wayne on the mend.
A TOP inter-county hurler has spoken of his 'miracle escape' after suffering a suspected heart attack after training last weekend.
Waterford's Wayne Hutchinson collapsed grabbing his chest after a session with his Deise team-mates last Sunday.
The 23-year-old complained of chest pains and was rushed to Waterford Regional Hospital.
Speaking from his hospital bed, Wayne relived the moment as he collapsed in pain.
He said: "I had attended a training session with the county panel in Carrick-on-Suir and when I arrived home on Sunday evening I got a pain in my chest which lasted three to four hours."
The young star was hoping to make a breakthrough into the Waterford first team during this year's championship.
He added: "I feel fine but they are still keeping an eye on me. At the moment I am a bit worried about my future."
