G.I. Trucking Enhances Online Services.

LA MIRADA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 2, 1999--

Bill Reid, president of G.I. Trucking Co., a regional less-than-truckload (LTL) motor carrier based in La Mirada, Calif., announced the enhancement of customer services available through the company's Web site. The Web site is located at www.gi-trucking.com.

According to Reid, customers are able to retrieve imaged proof-of-delivery documents and bills of lading via the Internet now that the company's imaging systems have been linked to the Web site. In addition, the firm is offering expanded shipment status information, including online tracing and tracking services, as well as secured shipment and account information.

"Our goal is to allow our customers to conveniently and safely access virtually all of their shipment and account information using the Internet. This recent enhancement of online services is a big step in that direction," said Reid.

G.I. Trucking provides direct LTL service to 16 Western and mid-Western states from 76 terminals. It also offers service to all other U.S. states and Canadian provinces through its ExpressLINK North American service network. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arkansas Best Corp. of Ft. Smith, Ark.
