Funds were goal for match.

A FOOTBALL match between management and staff of the Vale of Glamorgan Council raised pounds 1,000 for Penarth's Holme Tower hospice.

The annual fixture was held once again at Jenner Park, Barry, and this year the management won 3-2.

The event was supported by a host of companies and organisations, including: Orbis Security, Ran Tool Hire, LDS Motor Factors, Fordthorne, SRG Carpets, Allspares, Trust Parts, Barry Curtain and Net Centre, Ace Skip Hire, WAD, Mobile Sparks, Dop's Paints, Torque Tools, Snap On Tools, C and H Builders' Supplies, Tanner Electrics, Fleetwheel, Dunraven Windows, Dragon Windscreens, Mobile Tyres, ETU, staff at The Alps depot, Holton Road Football Club and Paul Evans.
