Funds for fast track power development program secured.

State electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (persero) has secured a loan of US$ 458.7 million and Rp 5.51 trillion to finance power plants under the first fast track program building coal-fired power plants with a total capacity of 10,000 MW. The loans were pledged by Bank of China amounting to US$ 371.5 million for 700 MW PLTU East Java Tanjung Awar-awar ; by BRI and BCA amounting to US$8 7.2 million and Rp 636 billion for three coal fired power plants in Riau and Riau Islands 14 MW PLTU Tanjung Balai Karimun, 20 MW PLTU 1 Riau Bengkalis, 14 MW PLTU 2 Riau Selat Panjang and 100 MW PLTU 1 West Kalimantan Parit Baru; Bank Mandiri and BCA will finance development of 26 transmission projects in Java valued at Rp 2.6 trillion , BNI and BRI to finance 20 transmission projects outside Java valued at Rp 1.9 trillion. In addition, BCA also loan for gas insulated cable switchgear (GIS) project and 150 KV underground cable project in Java valued at Rp 327 billion. PLN President Fahmi Mochtar said with the additional loan pledges; PLN has secured loan commitments valued at US$ 4.9 billion and Rp 19.6 trillion for 33 projects
