Functional, Fun & Foam

Footballs and basketball. Cosmetic applicators and bath sponges. Stadium-seat cushions and beverage-can cozies. What all of those products have in common is that they're made of foam and they're made in Nappanee by Quality Foam Designs, Inc. In addition to toys and domestic sponges, Quality Foam manufactures sponges for medical uses.

Quality Foam works with all types of foams and colors, and can help customers design original products. The sponge items are sold through various retail outlets in the United States, with prospects for future sales in Europe. The company also screen prints its designs, making them useful for fund-raisers and promotional gifts.

The company was founded a year ago by Lawrence Bressler, a 30-year veteran of the foam products business. Quality Foam currently employs 12 people.
