Fun time with The Inklings; Book review.

YOUNGER members enjoying watching the Olympics might also enjoy a book with a games theme - The Inklings, by Angela Ashton and Sue Byron.

The Inklings are gremlins, who live in paint pots at the back of Miss Marker's classroom. They decide to stage their own impromptu Olympics Games, and the result is one big mess.

The book is great for introducing young schoolchildren to the concept of sporting activities and fair play, through colourful and unusual characters. One of them, Blot, is particularly appealing to youngasters, as he faces trials and tribulations, but wins through. The Inklings is available as a paperback (pounds 8.89) or ebook download (pounds 3.50), from www.lulu.com. It can also be downloaded from itunes or Barnes and Noble.
