Full stop... in the name of education.

Full stops, commas, and even exclamation marks can sometimes be difficult to handle and we often hesitate when it comes to using an apostrophe. Instead of wading through text books to find out where punctuation marks should fit into a sentence, the play The Funky Punckies, with two performances on Sunday in Nicosia, shows a fun way to get it right.

The educational play written by Katarina Lazic and Stavria Thalassi and directed by Leila Saad, features the full stop, the comma, the exclamation mark, the colon, the dash and other punctuation marks as they step out of a book and meet on stage.

They do what most characters do on stage and in real life, they argue, they fall in love, make friends, discover new things and excel in what they did not know before.

So get ready to remember where the dash -- and his other friends -- are needed with some music, dance routines, video assistance and a little bit of interaction with the punctuation marks themselves.
