Fujitsu Consulting and Initiate Systems Join Forces to Support Canadian Client Registry Requirements.

DALLAS -- The joint venture indicates Initiate Systems' continued commitment to provide a comprehensive approach to the Canadian client registry solution

HIMSS Conference and Expo - Fujitsu Consulting, a trusted provider of management and technology consulting to business and government, and Initiate Systems, the leading provider of Enterprise Master Person Index (EMPI) software and services for managing patient and provider identities, today announced a strategic alliance to provide customers with a comprehensive approach to implementing a client registry solution in Canada. The client registry is an integral part of Canada's nationwide Electronic Health Record (EHR) strategy, enabling healthcare organizations to cost-effectively enhance patient care through improved data accuracy, integration and availability.

Fujitsu Consulting is committed to becoming a certified implementation partner with Initiate Systems. By joining forces with Fujitsu Consulting, Initiate Systems is able to provide its customers with additional delivery options, superior patient care and a more successful client registry implementation.

"Collaborating with Initiate Systems provides healthcare customers with greater access to resources for the successful implementation and integration of EMPI software," said David Shearer, senior vice president for Fujitsu Consulting. "We're confident that this alliance combined with our 30-year experience in similar large-scale projects, will help accelerate the time-to-solution of the EHR initiative and the client registry solution."

Initiate Identity Hub(TM) software is the market-leader in EMPI software, as indicated in the past seven consecutive KLAS rankings of EMPI providers, all of which ranked Initiate Systems at the top of the list. KLAS is a leading healthcare research and consulting firm that provides the healthcare information technology (HIT) industry with unbiased factual information on HIT vendor performance.

Initiate Systems' software is used by healthcare organizations to provide complete, accurate, up-to-date patient and provider data in support of critical clinical and business initiatives, including patient safety, computerized physician order entry (CPOE), electronic medical records (EMRs), regional health information organizations (RHIOs), revenue cycle management, improved first pass auto-adjudication rates and others. The software uses sophisticated statistical algorithms and high-performance database techniques to instantly identify and accurately link patient medical records within and across multiple systems and organizations. Initiate Systems' technology enables organizations to enhance the quality of patient care, operate more efficiently and improve regulatory compliance by dramatically reducing the number of duplicate, fragmented and out-of-sync medical records.

"Initiate Systems is excited to join forces with Fujitsu Consulting, a company that brings an extensive knowledge of Canada and the pan-Canadian healthcare system to the table," said Lorraine Fernandes, senior vice president of Initiate Systems' Healthcare Practice. "The agreement with Fujitsu enables Initiate Systems to further its commitment to providing superior delivery options to its healthcare customers."

Initiate Systems is exhibiting at the HIMSS conference at booth #2349.
