Fujita Utilizes Low Activation Concrete for Construction of PET Imaging Facility.
The neutron shielding effect of this concrete is over 1.7 times that of conventional low activation concrete and is also non-shrinkable, making it highly resistant to cracking.
The higher neutron shielding effect allows for thinner concrete shielding that, as a result, creates more usable space within the PET facility.
