Fuji-Keizai Conducts Survey on Production Sales and Supply of AV and Consumer Electronics in the Chinese Market.

Tokyo, Japan, Aug 15, 2006 - (JCN) - Fuji-Keizai Zhonglian Consulting, a China-based subsidiary of Fuji-Keizai, has conducted a survey on the production sales and supply of AV and consumer electronics in the Chinese market.

The results indicate a strong outlook for flat-screen LCD and plasma TVs with consumers eager to see the upcoming China Olympics on high definition TV.

The growing market of LCD and plasma TV is only 8% as of fiscal 2005, but by the fiscal 2008, could reach 24%, with one in every four TV being LCD. In contrast, CRT is on the decline from 48 million to 37 million in fiscal 2005, whereas LCD penetration is expected to grow to around 42 million.

The second fastest growing market is for DVD players, with 90% for in-car use. In the field of consumer electronics, the full automatic washing machine is on the rise.
