Fuelling anger; Letters..

IF the fuel companies under investigation for possible pricefixing are found guilty, then I hope they get a suitable punishment.

Any offending firm should be forced to drop their prices and keep them low until the money has gone back to drivers.

A huge fine will simply find its way into government coffers when they already tax petrol to the hilt.

Bill Elliot, Renfrewshire ONLY months after a lengthy investigation by UK inspectors told us that oil companies were whiter than white, their offices are raided by European inspectors and they are accused of price-fixing over a 10-year period.

Maybe it's time the European inspectors had a look at our gas and electricity companies.
