The brainy host of quiz show QI is the No1 favourite with advertisers who want a celebrity to plug their product on the small screen.
It is estimated that Fry earns more than pounds 100,000 a year from voice-overs.
He has done work for Direct Line, Argos, Tesco, Orange, Coca-Cola and the National Health Service.
Experts say advertisers have fallen in love with his uppercrust accent since he first did an ad for Panama cigars in 1988.
Paul Pickersgill, of ad agency M&C Saatchi, said: "Stephen Fry is witty, he delivers in one take, adds a lot to the sessions and he's great to work with."

Comedian Dawn French, best known for her ads for Terry's Chocolate Orange, is at No2.
Actor Timothy Spall, who came to fame in hit TV series Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, is No3 thanks to ads for the likes of Daz.
Comic Paul Merton is at No5, actress Julie Walters at No7 and presenter Graham Norton at No9.
While some A-list celebrities charge up to pounds 5000 to narrate an advert, the average fee is a more modest pounds 200 to pounds 300.
