Fron Choir's Conductor decides to call it a day.

THE woman who led Britain's oldest 'boy band' to chart-topping success, is leaving her choir.

Conductor Ann Atkinson says she's quitting Froncysyllte Male Voice Choir to seek fresh musical challenges, including releasing her own CD.

Ann, of Corwen, said: "It's been an amazing journey. When I took over nine years ago I never imagined it would turn out the way it has. My aim was just to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves and enjoyed their singing.

"I had no idea I would find myself conducting them at the Classical BRIT awards, making a single with Rolf Harris or singing with them on four CDs! We've done some amazing concerts in some amazing places and met some amazing people. It's been... well amazing!"
