From the editor.

Dear colleagues,

I am starting the final issue of the year with a good news. We have entered 'PubMed Central'. This has been a positive step for our journal. I thank to all the members of the editorial board and especially to Professor Tulay Erkan and our publisher Ibrahim Kara and the team of AVES who made great efforts for our entry. With all my heart I wish that our entry in PubMed Central will reach us to the level of SCIE. The reason that we were excluded from SCI-Expanded was that the articles were not cited sufficiently. I ask for sensitivity from my colleagues in this regard. The more we are cited in other journals, the higher is our chance. Don't forget that this chance belongs to all of us.

We give place to reviews which include current information in our journal as much as possible and we aim to update our information with these reviews. Unfortunately, research articles decreased following separation from SCIE.I hope that you will also show sensitivity in this regard.

Our selection of cases are adjusted such as rare cases or cases which would be helpful in differential diagnosis. We are ready to hear if you have other recommendations.

This issue has another meaning for me. I am quitting from editorship which I continued for long years because of my advanced age. I am sure that my friends will be carrying the flag much further. I hope that I did have some contributions during the period of my editorship.

Best regards. Goodbye.
