From the Editors.

We are sad to say that this is the last number of the Australian Bulletin of Labour.

There are two reasons for this. The primary reason is that, despite our best efforts and the assistance of some of our supporters, we have not achieved the flow of submitted papers necessary to maintain an acceptable frequency of publication. The other reason is that our institutional base, the National Institute of Labour Studies, has ceased to operate. As a result, we no longer have the financial and administrative support that the Bulletin requires.

We should like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the many people who have supported the Bulletin since its inception in 1975: authors, referees, former editors, copyeditors, subscribers, members of the editorial board and readers.
