From Norman Lower re Msgr. Foy.

I extend my warmest congratulations and thanks to Msgr. Vincent Foy for having recently published the book Birth Control in Canada: Is Canada out of step with Rome?

This magnificent publication is a wonderful testimony to (a) your untiring efforts of almost forty years in exposing the doctrinal errors inherent in the Canadian bishops' 1968 "Winnipeg Statement," notably in paragraph no. 26, and (b) your continuing efforts in trying to convince the bishops to have this dissenting document revoked. I shall continue to work closely with you in this endeavour. I thank you for your ongoing encouragement.

In your February 1, 2004, letter to me you wrote: "Perseverance with prayer and penance will win out."
