From Cort Freeman re Shea article.

In the article titled "Why do some clergy question abstinence in the fight against HIV/AIDS?" John B. Shea inadvertently misquotes Dr. George Mulcaire-Jones, president and founder of Maternal Life International of Butte, Montana, from an August 11-17, 2002 National Catholic Register article.

He writes, "Dr. Mulcaire-Jones who once believed it would be impossible to get African men to understand natural family planning ... etc." It should have read, "Dr. Mulcaire-Jones who once believed it would be nearly impossible...."

A correction would be deeply appreciated in an editor's note and for the online article, which was nicely done.

Executive Director,

Maternal Life International

Butte, MT
