From Brookside to Sexxxy sitcom.

IOpen All Hours, then set it in a sex shop and you have ... actress Ann Marie Davies'latest TV show. The former Brookie star is about to get a triple-X rating, but all in the best possible taste (as Kenny Everett would say) for a sitcom called Sexxx on newly launched Loaded TV.

The lads mag is venturing onto the small screen from next week, and Ann Marie will feature in two very different flagship shows: one as a footy pundit and the other as the wife of a sex boutique own er ! But the Wirral actress, who is married to MK Dons manager Karl Robinson, assures Insider she won't be getting her kit off for either.

"I was at the Loaded TV studios for a football programme called Off The Bar and bumped into Loaded's owner, Paul B a x e n d a l e ," explains Ann Marie. "He asked what I was doing there, and then said 'come with me'. The next minute I was in a boardroom reading a script for a character called Lisa in a new comedy.

"He knew about Brookside and thought it would be brilliant to have a Scouser involved because Lisa is quite a feisty character."

The idea of Sexxx is to have a celebrity customer each week, including American lingerie model Caprice in the Christmas special, although Ann Marie admits she was a little bit wary when she found out what the show's title was.

"Although it's set in a Soho sex shop and there are lots of glamour models in it, it's very much tongue-in-cheek and it's just very funny. It's like an old fashioned sitcom, there's no bad language or nudity, it's like a Benny Hill kind of sexy comedy brought up to date.

"But my daughter Jasmine has been telling her teacher her mum's about to be in a new sitcom and she keeps asking me what it's called and I say 'oh, I don't know, I don't think they've got a title yet!'"
