Friday Live: Be moved by the Spirits.

GLASTONBURY Festival might be a total sell-out this year - but that doesn't mean that you have to miss out on all the fun if you haven't got a ticket. Spiritualized have confirmed that they are to play a special warm-up gig for the festival, right here in Cardiff.

Tickets have already gone on sale and the show is expected to be a swift sellout. But you could get lucky with the South Wales Echo. We've got three pairs of tickets and three copies of the new Spiritualized album, Let It Come Down, to give away.

The Cardiff date has been fixed for Thursday, June 27, the day before the band take to the stage at Glastonbury in front of a staggering 100,000 people.

Unbelievably, the warm-up will be Spiritualized's first ever Welsh date.

They've toured extensively since mainman Jason Pierce first split from his psychedelic guitar outfit, The Spacemen 3, but Spiritualized's path has not yet crossed the border into Wales.

In the last decade, the band have made several stunning records including the landmark Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space, Spiritualized Electric Mainline and a live album - complete with horns, string section and gospel choir - recorded at London's Royal Albert Hall. The Cardiff concert promises to be just as exciting - if minus a few dozen musicians!

To enter our competition, just answer the following question.

Spiritualized's highlyacclaimed live album was recorded at which famous London venue?

Send your answer on a postcard together with your name, address and daytime telephone number to Spiritualized Giveaway, South Wales Echo Features, Thomson House, Havelock Street, Cardiff, CF10 1XR. The first three correct answers drawn, after the closing date next Thursday, will win a pair of tickets to the concert and a copy of the CD Let It Come Down.

Tickets for the gig are available now, priced pounds 12 (subject to booking fee) from the Cardiff Student Union box office on 02920 781458, from the Ticket Orderline on 0870 9070999, from Spillers Records, The Hayes 029 2022 4905, or from Rockaway and Diverse in Newport.
