Fresh fragrances fill the air and shelves; Beauty.
SPRING is in the air and there are plenty of new light and fresh fragrances hitting the shelves packed with fun fruits, subtle flowers and sensual spices. Singer Britney Spears follows up the success of her first fragrance Curious with another youthful burst of perfume in fantasy. Blending red lychee, golden quince, kiwi, jasmine, white chocolate orchid, musk, orris roots and woods, it all comes packed in a bright pink bottle decorated with green crystals. Costing for pounds 22 for eau de parfum, fantasy has launched in Boots, should be available in Debenhams from the end of the week and will then roll out into other department stores. Worth Paris chooses this month to launch its first new fragrance in more than 25 years with the cheeky name of Courtesan. Aiming to mix glamour and mystery, Courtesan uses spices of cinnamon, cardamom and clove, fruity pineapple and red berries, florals of orange blossom, magnolia, Egyptian jasmine and Turkish rose and a sensual undercurrent of sandalwood, chocolate, caramel, amber and musk. Courtesan is available from pounds 35 in department stores. Coty is feeling floral with its L'Aimant Paris Caresse D'Orchidee whose bouquet includes rose, jasmine, ylang! ylang, hyacinth, lily, orchid and orange blossom. A touch of blackcurrant and hints of vanilla, sandalwood, oak moss and vetyver ensures a feminine fragrance with prices starting at pounds 7.95 for the parfum de toilette.
