French Bourse plunges almost 8.0 pc in Monday PM trading.

PARIS, Aug 24 (KUNA) -- French share prices plunged sharply lower in trading Monday afternoon on the Paris Stock Exchange amid ongoing concern about Chinese currency and stock markets, operators said. "Boursorama" brokerage reported that the CAC 40 index of "blue chip" shares was down 7.88 percent 90 minutes before the close but then stabilised at 4,268.49 points, off 7.83 percent. The CAC 40 lost close to 4.0 per cent on Friday and lost another 3.8 percent Monday morning. The slide is expected to continue, operators said, because Wall Street opened over 5.0 percent off in the afternoon here. (End)
