Freemasons help with Scouts' Jamboree goal; Yourcauses.

DURING M h C DURING March Coventry Freemasons presented cheques to the value of PS1,575 to local scouts to help them with their fundraising initiatives. Coventry-based Scouts James Pilley and Luke Shadbolt are trying with others to raise PS20,000 to help them and other less fortunate scouts attend and participate at the 2015 Jamboree in Japan.

Stuart Leist, a senior Freemason from Coventrybased b d T i i L d d Trinity Lodge and former Scout leader said: "This donation was in direct response to their appeal and based on the opinion that Scouting and Freemasonry are two parallel organisations which both encourage personal improvement and support others less fortunate than ourselves."

Warwickshire Freemasons have also given donations to the following individual groups: Wilson Stuart C b P k E di (Di Cub Pack Erdington (Disabled Group), Crabbs Cross & Hunt End Scouts, 12th Rugby Scout Group, 22nd Rugby Scout Group, Brum-Jam (Birmingham Jamboree), 1st Salters Street Scout Group, Scout Association of Birmingham, Wilson Stuart Cub Pack, Girl Guiding Coventry, Girl Guides Association, Newbold Sea Scouts, 7th Rugby Scout Group, Scout Association of Birmingham, Alcester Scouts & Guides.
