Freed rapist abused girl claim.

A RAPIST who should have been considered for deportation is accused of sexually abusing a girl of six.

The 35-year-old Jamaican allegedly attacked the girl within days of being released from prison in December 2005 and has since been rounded up by police. A government source confirmed that the man was one of 1.023 foreign offenders released without being considered for deportation.

A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that we have received an allegation of indecent assault against a young child in south London. The incident is alleged to have occurred some months ago. Inquiries are at an early stage. There have been no arrests."

On Monday, Home Secretary John Reid admitted that a murderer was among 98 foreign prisoners who remained at large after being freed without being considered for deportation.
