Freed paedophile whines: It's not fair.

THE first paedophile spared jail after Reid's letter was bleating yesterday about being "caught up in a political storm".

Dad-of-two Derek Williams, 46, said: "I'm gobsmacked at the reaction. I didn't expect all of this. My family and I just want our lives back now.

"We feel we've been caught up in a whole load of politics which has nothing to do with what has actually happened.

"I've had eight months away from my family. I wasn't allowed to live at home while this case was hanging over me and had to live with relatives.

"It is a relief to finally be back home with my children."

Jobless Williams, of Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales, was given a suspended jail term after the judge in his case said he had to "bear in mind" the letter from Reid.

The pervert claimed he was innocent and said: "I was quite shocked with what the judge said and the reaction to it. But I wasn't expecting to go to jail anyway.

"I always thought I'd get a suspended sentence or it would be thrown out."
