Free eye camps conducted in tribal areas.

PESHAWAR -- To provide eye care services to underprivileged people of FATA, free eye camps were conducted in Bajaur Agency, Khyber Agency and Upper Kurram the other day.

FATA Health Services official said the camps were conducted by Eye Care Services Program FATA and Mobile Hospital teams.

A total of 2679 patients suffering from various ophthalmological diseases were examined by the qualified doctors in form of check-up, correction of refractive errors and treatment for eye diseases along with provision of free medicines.

The doctors also conducted 303 eye surgeries along with intraocular lens implantation while 1035 patients were provided free glasses.

The area people highly appreciated the services in free eye camps and demanded for such facility in future too.
