Of the many studies Brenk has produced on Plutarch (46-120 AD), these are the only two that are full length, says, Lanzillotta, but they appear here together not for their length, but because between them they changed the entire field of Plutarch, the first focusing on the Greek's religious thought in the Moralia and other works, and the second on his cultural analysis in the Antonius in particular and in the Lives generally. The Religious Spirit of Plutarch of Chaironeia first appeared in 1987, and The Life of Mark Antony in 1992, both originally in German. ([umlaut] Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR)
